I’m nervous. – (FBE) So the first one is one
we’ve done often on the show. It’s called a try
not to sing along challenge. – (chuckling) – (FBE) But they’re
all gonna be featuring songs from the year 2002.
– Okay. Just the fun of all
of the music back then, honestly. – (FBE) Here are the rules:
while the video is playing, there will be no singing,
no dancing– – (gasping) What? – (FBE) And there’s no lip-syncing.
– What?! I’m already fidgeting.

because she looks so different. I was always a tomboy

I love that song. I love the whole album. I really tried on that one. – (FBE) So we have

in this bit of the song, everyone was playing basketball and trying to get
a basketball shot in, and the first time
I got the ball, I was just like, yeah, and I got it in.
I felt really good. When I wrote that with Ed Sheeran,
every time I sing it, I just remember all of those times
because music has such a relationship with a memory,
so whenever I listen to stuff, it just takes me right back
to being 11 years old. – (FBE) So that’s
the end of this challenge. But here is another 2002 challenge. Challenge number two,
we have these index cards in order with the top 20 songs from 2002
according to Billboard. We’re going to see
if you can, on the spot, sing a little and see how many
you can get in two minutes. – Okay. – (FBE) If you don’t know the song,
you can always pass and move onto the next song. We’ll be timing you,
so once the two minutes are up, we’ll let you know how you did. How do you think you’re gonna do? – Um, I hope I’m gonna do well. (laughing) Just out of respect

– Mmmmmm. Mmmmm, below average. – (FBE) Are you surprised with that
or is that kind of what you were expecting? – No, I thought I was
gonna get more. (laughing) – (FBE) So finally, after
participating in the challenge, how do you feel about
music from 2002? – It’s amazing. I feel like songs
in the 2000s and ’90s, actually just every song
back then had a real story, and I think that’s what I try
and do in my songs. I try and have a story
for people to listen to. I miss that. – (FBE) What is it about 2002
that was important enough for you to write a song about?
– All the good music. Just in general,
being young and careless, all of that easy stuff that
was just so much fun then and just actually going outside
and playing with your friends and, yeah, those are good memories. Thank you so much to FBE
