What’s up you guys, it’s Kristen Hancher, back at it again with another YouTube video. I know I said I’d post every Saturday and I stopped after the 2nd video… but I actually have a good reason this time. I’m on tour right now and we’ve had a show day almost every single day… so this is 1 of my few off days and I’m like hey, let’s film a Youtube video! This was one of my most requested videos for like the past 2 years, it is a Musical.ly transition tutorial. This video isn’t a tutorial on how to use Musical.ly, but it’s a tutorial on how I do all my cool… transitions and effects on the Musical.ly app. if you just got the app, this is… probably not the video for you, but if you want to learn how I do all my crazy shit on Musical.ly… Without further ado… Here it is If you guys don’t know what a “transition” is… it’s something Musical.ly users made up. I’ll insert a couple clips here so you get an idea of what I’m talking about. Musically : KristenHancher Musically : KristenHancher I’m gonna take you guys step by step on how to do a bunch of transitions to make your Musical.lys lit. Got my iPhone here but fun fact: I used to film all my Musical.lys on this big… ass iPad with an Otterbox case because I didn’t have an iPhone at the time… but luckily I do now. Also I designed this case myself, it’s all a part of my phone case line… which will be released online very soon, which I’m super excited about! The first transition I’m gonna teach you guys is the swipe transition. This Transition is actually super easy. All you have to do is hold down the record button, swipe your hand in the same direction as your phone is going, and stop recording once you’re out of frame. Then move your phone to the opposite side you finished recording from, hold down record, swipe till you’re in frame and then stop reccording. The next transition I’m going to teach you, is swipe down. So this transition is the same as a swipe transition, only instead of going from side to side you’re going to be going from… up to down or from down to up. So same thing, you’re gonna be holding down record, swipe down till you’re out of frame, stop recording, and then go to the opposite side. So for me I finished down, so I’m going to start up. Continue recording and come into frame. Or, if I wanted to go from down to up, I would start down, I would swipe up till I’m out of frame, stop recording, then I would start down again, hold… record, swipe up till I’m in frame. Okay, the next transition I’m gonna teach you guys is a swipe around. Ok this transition Is also like the swipe one… only you do not stop recording when you’re out of frame. Instead you’re gonna click record and… continue recording until your hand cannot go any further. Then you wanna put your phone on the opposite side, as far back as you can, and continue… recording until you’re in frame. The next transition I’m going to teach you guys, is the spin. This one’s a little… more difficult, so bear with me. You’re gonna take your phone, record and flip your phone… upside down, then you’re gonna want to take your phone and kind of rotate it as far upside down as you possibly can. Hold down record and flip it until you’re upright again. Now if you want to do multiple spins in a row, like so… You’re literally just gonna repeat those steps over and over. So record, stop… record, stop, record. You get the point. The next transition I’m gonna teach you guys is the blur effect. For this one, you’re gonna wanna lick your finger or use water or any liquid you want to use and… rub it on your phone camera. This is gonna make your camera blurry, which is the effect we’re going for. So stop recording, wipe your camera so it’s blurry, continue recording, stop recording, wipe your camera, continue recording. The next transition is the stutter. For this one you’re going to want to record, stop recording, then move your phones to wherever your phone first was… record, stop recording and repeat that step as many times as you want. All right, the next transition is the outfit change. So this one is actually pretty difficult. What you want to do is, record and tug on your top and stop recording. Then, you’re gonna want to take off your top and… put it on your body to make it look like you’re wearing it as much as possible. Then, you’re going to want to take your phone and align it in the same spot you had it when you stopped recording. From there, hold your top, continue recording and take off the top and you’re good. I think that ended in the trash bag… it totally, did. All right, the next transition is slo-mo. For this one you’re going to record, stop recording, freeze where you are, click slow on your Musical.ly speeds… and continue recording. You can really do this one with any of the Musical.ly speeds, but the most popular one to do Is slo-mo. The next transition is crushing an object. For this one, you’re gonna want to have an object, whatever that may be. Start recording, cover the circumference of the object as much as possible with your hand, stop recording, drop… the object, continue recording and… crush your hand… into a fist. This is gonna give you the illusion that you’re crushing an object in your hand and it suddenly… disappears. Okay , hat’s all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed the video! If you did, lease leave a like and… a comment telling me what your favourite transition was. Also, if you plan on doing any of these transitions, please leave your… Musical.ly username in the comments below, so I can check out all your Musical.lys and stalk you guys! Also, if you don’t follow my Musical.ly account yet… I’ll put my Musical.ly username somewhere… here. I also have a lot of more transitions I want to teach you guys, so if we can get this to… 50,000 likes, I will be doing a part two! Also please please subscribe if you haven’t already, I just started this channel so it’d be great to welcome you all into the family and… yeah! See you guys next time!
